Alan has roots that need no explanation….after all, Alan is the younger brother of two of Australia’s rockers: Jimmy Barnes (Cold Chisel) and Swanee (John Swan).
Alan’s first live show was at the age of 14 with James Wright, moving on to play with his brothers very soon after.
Diversifying, Alan performed with his brothers and various other bands before developing his own band and hit the circuit supporting the who’s who of classic Australian Rock Bands including AC/DC, Dragon, Rose Tattoo, Choir Boys, INXS, Mi-Sex, Flowers, Kevin Borich just to mention a few.
One of Alan’s highlights was touring as the national support act for Bon Jovi in which his act received standing ovations even amongst Bon Jovi’s hardcore fans.
Signed to Mushroom records in the early 90’s hit single “I need a little love” climbed up high in the Aria top 40 charts.
Experience spanning more than 20 years has resulted in Alan delivering one of the best shows on the market today. Alan delivers flair and professionalism along with a voice resonating that of his two brothers with his own dynamics and brand of rock and roll!
